Walking in the Spirit is Timeless

Despite the Earthly annual events of this world's calendar, make everyday a day of timeless retreat in the Lord.   When Christ dealt with sin, it was not sins he dealt with--it is not about naming bad things in your life, it is not about naming murder, adultery, and idolatry, and all such things--Christ dealt with all Sin, Sin personified, Sin the very element of rebellion against God, the very seed and all its branches and appearances.  The Sin series was CANCELLED.  NIXED. DE-FUNDED. DESTROYED. NEVER TO BE RESURRECTED AGAIN.   SIN IS DEAD.   Adams's sin, and Adam's Great Great Great Great.....Great ^ (infinity) children's sin was all dealt with at Calvary -- once for All Time, in the Spirit realm, a timeless event.  

It Is Finished! 

What are the important dates?  

  • The day you were born again
  • The day  you affirmed your salvation by public baptism in water 
  • The day you received the pouring out of the Spirit and let God control your tongue
  • The day you lead your first person to Christ

 As Lord Jesus did, you can use the events of this world—New Years, President's Day, Valentine's Day, Spring Harvest, Passover, even Superbowl Weekend to witness for HIM.  It is not a sin to be aware of these events, but they are not  in the timeless calendar of God.  They are here, now, and gone.  But God's calendar lives forever.

Can a Believer Have a Wrong Spirit

Proper Rebuke -- Goal of Reconciliation

  Quick thought about rebuke versus facilitation of remedy.  Rebuke is such a harsh word, but I want to include in the concept any time you lovingly try to correct someone.  For sake of discussion, consider the two polarities of a response: Either the person will receive it, possibly apologize, and generally reflect how he or she may improve;  or in the opposite, the person will reject, take offense, and possibly become angry or belligerent.   RECEIVE - HUMBLE, REPENTANT, TEACHABLE HEART  VS REJECT -  PROUD, ANGRY, HARD HEART The one giving the rebuke however ought to consider their job is not merely to point out the error, but to facilitate a resolve.  Now it may not be wrong to suggest or outright bluntly rebuke a person, but if done so with extremity of words, it may tip the person from one side to the other depending on where or whether they are walking with Christ.    In all cases, before a correction is made, the...
